Remembering My Roots- Swing Low. Video ( 2-29-24)

Remembering my Father, {Earnest Morgan Sr., 1909-2000}, and my Mother { Susie Morgan, 1912-1999}. They were Share Croppers until about 1964 when they were forced to move becasue my Father chose to register to Vote. My Parents took us to Sunday School at Historical Afton Villa Baptist Church. My Father, Papa, loved to sing. My mother, Mother Dear, was more of a Shouting Speaker! One of his favortie songs was Swing Low Sweet Chariot. I can still hear him singing it just as he did when I was a little child in Sunday School. He was the Superintendent and Sunday School Teacher. Listen as I remember my Father in song.
