Bull talks about the importance of inter-union solidarity and organising in resisting the push by Patrick Stevedores and the Howard government to smash the MUA back in 1998. A  parallel 'national unity government' was formed on April 16, parallel to the military, which has a diverse base. Over 700 protestors have been killed in brutal attacks by the regime. Victorian Myanmar youth are organising a May Day solidarity rally on Saturday and a community cultural event on Sunday. You can listen to the individual interview here.815am Jacob and Zane speak with Melbourne based Indian PhD student and tutor Divya Garg about the unfolding covid 19 crisis in India.Divya reports that Indian people stuck overseas are desperately trying to help friends and family members back in India struggling to access healthcare in India's highly privatised healthcare system. The government of Narendra Modi has failed to deliver on promises of  free vaccines and is cracking down on critics of his governments poor response. Countries including Australia have fought to prevent cheap vaccines being made available. Limited vaccines and oxygen supplies are basically being sold to the highest bidder meaning the poorest are being hit hardest, as record daily infections continue.
