Tell us what you think of this episodeIn this episode we talk to radio and tv broadcaster and writer Grahame Lloyd about his memories of and contact with the great Sir Garfield Sobers who passed away on Friday 17th July 2026.Graham shares his personal memories of Sobers, including his first encounter with him during the 1966 West Indies tour of England. and We talk about the the iconic moment when Sobers became the first cricketer in first class cricket to hit six sixes at St Helen's in Swansea in 1968.  Grahame runs through he events of the day and explains why the event has become so synonymous with the great West Indian cricketers life in cricket.We  talk about Grahame's investigation into the authenticity of the ball sold at auction some years later, claiming to be the ball Sobers hit in that over.  He proved it to be a fake and his efforts  cleared Sobers' name from any wrongdoing in the process. Graham also reads a poem he wrote about the six sixes and reflects on Sobers' greatness as an all-rounder. We discuss how Sobers should be remembered in Wales, particularly for his connection to St Helen's and the impact of the six sixes.
