Remembering The Rest Of God

When we get born again, we move from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of light. When God created all of creation, He saw that it was good. However, He had an end goal in mind, the Shabbat, or rest, through having a progressive relationship with Him. Israel entered Canaan, but not the rest of God, although they were being carefully taught by God through the Ten Commandments to have a relationship with Him. They were constantly refusing this relationship, severing themselves from God. We could also settle for having been saved and just making it to heaven, but we will be missing the purpose of having been saved and that is to enter into the rest of God. We have to labour or study the Word to show ourselves approved in trusting and believing God (in other words, having a relationship with God) and thus entering His rest. This is very important, even critical, to us.
