Remix Styling w/CSS in JS

Trying to figure out whether a CSS in JS approach will take a significance performance hit when using Remix, and whether it would be better to stick to remote and plain stylesheets. Also wondering whether Remix has any Babel-like class naming structure, or if there might be support for Babel in the future. Why Remix over other React frameworks?
