Removing the Stress Around Food in Your Family with Cierra Crowley, MSN, APRN, CPNP

from Moms Working Overtime · host Alanna Hellman

Motherhood is hard enough to navigate before food even comes into the picture. But so many of us as moms feel pressure and stress around meal times and providing food for our children...even when it comes to providing food for ourselves!Today's guest is Cierra Crowley, a Board Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with a diverse background in pediatric wellness, nutrition, exercise, and supplementation. Her passion for improving the health of our youth is infectious and I know we all can learn so much from her! What I love most is how she simplifies the process and takes the overwhelm out of learning to feed our families better. Cierra and I dive into all things nutrition, food quality, food preparation, and battles that come with feeding our children. She shares her journey with her three pregnancies (one in progress currently!), postpartum journeys, introduction of food to each of her children, and how she navigates food with her family now. Everyone starts somewhere and it's so important as moms that we remember it's not about being perfect or turning our lives upside down in one day. It's about making one small decision at a time, slightly better than we did before, and allowing those good decisions to stack up, learning and growing as we go. The impact of food on our children is astronomical. From the obvious factors of weight and body composition to less-spoken about impacts, such as behavior, attention, and risk for disease. You won't want to miss out on this conversation with Cierra and I hope you'll connect with her on social media to continue to learn more from her wealth of knowledge in pediatric wellness! Find Cierra on Instagram here: https://www.instagram.com/cierra.crowley/ or https://www.instagram.com/bitesizedwellness/Support the showLet's connect on social media!
