Easy!Respect these 6 “rules”:Be politeSmileBe funnyAsk questionsFind a common interestDon’t be fakeI love meeting new people regardless of what they could become: a friend, a close friend, a colleague, a business contact, etc. And, every time I meet someone new I always apply the 6 points above.Politeness is crucial. Watch your language, do not ask too intrusive questions, do not act weird or rude.Smile. Would you talk to someone that doesn’t smile at all?Be funny. I always crack a joke about myself.Ask relevant questions. Ask questions depending of the current context. If you met in a bar ask about how regularly he/she comes to the bar. If you met at a networking event, ask her/him what is she doing here, where does he/she work. If you met through a friend, ask when and how did they meet. You get the idea right? :)Find a common interest. By asking question often you’ll find a topic for which you both share interest in. Talk about it!Don’t be fake. Don't smile too much. Don’t act like you are trying too hard. Be yourself, be natural (but remember to stay polite). Nobody likes fake people.
