美国纽约大学和芝加哥大学的科学家描述了一种新的、完全合成的细胞模拟物，它离复制活细胞的功能又近了一步。当将其放置在不同物质组成的混合物中时，细胞模拟物可以通过自主捕获、浓缩、存储和交付微观货物来执行主动运输任务。这些人造细胞是使用最少的成分制造的，没有从生物学中借用任何材料。
