Jan Engels-Smith is an author, a Shamanic Practitioner (ShD) a Tibetan, Usui, and Karuna Reiki Master, a Licensed Professional Counselor, a Chemical Dependency Specialist and a Hypnotherapist. Jan’s mission is to provide excellence in shamanic education, and to support personal growth for well-being, adapting ancient healing techniques to contemporary life in the 21st century. She personally has performed 3500 soul retrievals, which is a shamanic healing method. Jan is considered an expert in her field. In 1994, Jan founded LightSong School of 21st Century Shamanism and Energy Medicine and has developed the first energy medicine curriculum of its kind, which allows for those with a curious interest in energy medicine, right through to those that would like to obtain a doctorate in shamanism (Sh.D.). Jan’s has written two books: Through the Rabbit Hole: Exploring Energy and the Shamanic Journey and Becoming Yourself: The Journey from Head to Heart, which won the readers choice award.
