Renew Your Strength

We renew magazine subscriptions, driver’s licenses, and Netflix memberships. We do that in order to live our daily lives in the manner to which we are accustomed. What about our spiritual lives? God encourages us to “renew our strength” so that we might gain hope, courage, and determination. The image of the strong and powerful eagle provides a glimpse into the strength we can gain by hoping in the Lord. Soaring on wings like eagles suggests that we can rise above our problems and ascend to new heights by trusting in the Lord. When life’s difficulties seem insurmountable, God promises that we are not alone. We can put our trust in him because he can carry all our burdens and help us to rise above them.
