Impact of Renewable Variability.  The host for this show is Guillermo Sabatier.   Given the rapid deployment of renewable energy resources, their impact on the electric grid has become of increasing concern for system reliability.  One of the reasons for this issue is their severe variability issues and how that forces conventional generators to respond.  The problems have become so severe that there are entire regions that cannot support their summer peak loads and have been forced to engage load reduction or even feeder rotation.
