Union University Founders' Day Union University Addresses from Union University's Founders' Day. An annual university event that was established in 1999, Founders' Day provides the Union community the opportunity to celebrate its long and rich history of providing a Christian liberal arts-based education. Union is the oldest institution of high education associated with the Southern Baptist Convention. 2010-2011 Chapels Union University Union is a Christian university. We come together each week as a university community to worship and glorify God, to build community among the entire university, and to inform and teach concerning the areas of faith and learning.
