According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics, more than two million renting families are pet owners. However, despite the numbers, many renters struggle to find pet-friendly rentals. In fact, pets and rental properties continue to be a hot topic of conversation for renters and landlords alike. More people are renting than ever before. So on this edition of Pets-A-Loud we are packing our boxes and loading the moving van as we talk about renting with pets. Coming up on this edition of Pets-A-Loud: ​We take a look at the benefits for landlords to have a pet friendly rental property. The Tenants Union of Victoria chats to us about their submission to the Residential Tenancies Act review, which looks to give renters, including renters with pets, more choice, control and certainty over their housing circumstances.
