Kalau perjamuan malam adalah memperingati Tuhan, maka meja perjamuan berarti saling bersekutu. Meja perjamuan berarti, “ cawan pengucapan syukur, yang atasnya kita ucapkan syukur adalah persekutuan dengan darah Kristus.” Yang ditekankan di sini bukan menerima darah Kristus melainkan bersama-sama menerima darah Kristus. Ini berarti persekutuan.
