REPEAT- "Who Taught Imam W. Deen Mohammed? June 30, 2024

from A Conversation with A Purpose · host Brother Furqan

As-Salaam Alaikum. Today's WORDS-MAKE-PEOPLE program (June 30, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. EST) is a repeat production, but still a very much needed conversation.  Imam Warith Deen Mohammed emphatically said, "You can't find the person who taught me...G-d taught me!" Still folks make that untrue claim. Sure, everyone learns from others,  but no one taught Imam W.  Deen Mohammed his thinking.  I'm currently (June 30, 2024) in route home from a very impressive Ahmadi Muslim Convention, called "Jalsa Salana." However, I was surprised by many of their African American members said that the Ahmadiyyahs are the ones who taught Imam W. Deen Mohammed, or greatly influenced his thinking.  And there are others. In addition to Dr. Sayyid M. Syid of ISNA Claiming that he brought Imam W. Deen Mohammed and his community to  "sunni" Islam,  there's also Dr. Jihad Saafir and Dr. Mustapha Kulungu, who wrote in 2022, "Before W.D. Muhammad became the supreme leader of the Nation of Islam, Dr. Sakr visited him once a week for intensive one-on-one Islamic studies classes consisting of Arabic, fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence), and Qur’anic studies, hadith, history...; therefore, (it's) safe for us to suggest that Imam W.D. Muhammad followed the learning method of acquiring knowledge used by earlier scholars of Islam...to teach what they had learned from their immediate teachers, so this could be the case for Imam W.D. Muhammad." WORDS-MAKE-PEOPLE challenges their positions of trying to take credit for the blessings Allah gave us via Imam W.  Deen Mohammed.  Join us by calling 714 816-4673,  or listen online via - www.blogtalkradio.com/station-iwdm/2024/06/30/repeat-who-taught-imam-w-deen-mohammed-june-30-2024 PASS THE WORD  - TELL A FRIEND!  WORDS-MAKE-PEOPLE Thank you for your support!
