Repent and Come

Repent & Come: The Beginning of Jesus' Ministry We are commanded to go on the adventure of holiness, and in this message we are going to look at the sequence of events marking the beginning of Jesus' ministry in the Gospel of Matthew. There is a movement in Matthew 4 that takes this form: don't reason with temptation; have your mind and soul transformed towards Christ and stop your life from being directed towards the way of death; and finally answer the command of Jesus to follow Him in the hard labor of His Gospel. The diabolical one, the devil, comes to tempt Jesus as both God and man, but Jesus does not reason with the tempter.
