REPLAY S1E11 with Kate Bishop - In Defense of the Next Generation of LGBTQ+ Youth

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY and welcome to a special Pride Season REPLAY of my conversation with Kate Bishop, a fierce advocate for our LGBTQ+ youth currently serving on the Chula Vista School Board as a Trustee.  Given recent events over the past few weeks, I felt compelled to replay this VERY important and timely episode! PLEASE ... take the time to listen in if you missed it!  Kate is the first openly QUEER person to serve on the School Board and is an incredibly strong voice representing ALL stakeholders including students, parents, teachers, staff, administration & members of her community.  Her passion and commitment are palpable and unyielding and she is out to make a difference in the lives of our children. Kate and I have a powerful and at times incredibly emotional conversation centered around the importance of communication as it relates to how best to serve our students, including our trans youth who are up against so much hate and who are currently under attack across the country.
