Replying to @Zeus #adjustment of status is one way that a parent of a US citizen can obtain lawful permanent residency. Therefore, as a lawful permanent resident if you want to invite your parents from Afghanistan to come to the US, it is likely it would be denied because immigration and officers at the port of entry would clearly know that once you become a US citizen, you can #petition them for residency.#immigrationlawyer @Brian D.
