(From Rothe’s Analecta, p. 387)Commemorate 10th January, date of appointment in 2013 of Bishop of Limerick Brendan LeahyHE was a Limerick priest. He studied the sacred sciences in Paris, and then returned to Ireland to labour for the salvation of souls, and discharged that duty with great zeal for many years. At length he was seized by the heretics, taken to Dublin, and thrown into prison.
