Acceptance kind of goes along with forgiveness because oftentimes what we end up doing with past decisions is we judge them based on current information which we did not have when we made the decision. So you're like ‘Monday morning quarterbacking’ your entire life, which isn't fair to past you. - Anna Glezer MDThe size and shape of our bodies has so much to do with things that are completely outside of our control, having to do with genetics and trauma and epigenetics. - Anna Glezer MDThere are so many things that we can do for our bodies, regardless of their size, that can keep us healthy. - Anna Glezer MDSociety tells us that our size is something we should have control over, and that kind of pressure is what leads to a lot of negative self-talk, negative self esteem and challenges with body image. - Anna Glezer MDI think that setting goals that are not based on numbers on a scale can be really healthy because they're much more achievable. - Anna Glezer MDThe data just does not support that losing weight for the purpose of losing weight has any long term success. - Anna Glezer MDWe have this really complex endocrine system and everything is interrelated.
