7/12/24 - Have you heard about the new National Republican Party Platform? The American right's new agenda keys in on issues such as immigration, the economy, and others - all while scarcely mentioning the battle for life. Hidden within the document, however, we find that the Republicans are officially opposing a federal abortion ban and handing over the decision on limits to the states in an effort to win the votes of those in swing territories. What has the public reaction been thus far? Have the Republicans sold themselves out by downplaying the issue, and could it come back to bite them down the road?
