Republicans and MAGA Seem to Be Fine With Protecting Child Rapists

Let’s just call it the way we see it. Why haven’t any of the men who visited Epstein’s island gotten arrested? Apparently the list is full of bankers, lawyers, judges, politicians, and billionaires. Why aren’t we out there detaining them? Why isn’t there any accountability?People are proposing all sorts of explanations. They’re calling it a “hoax.” They’re saying it’s a lie the Democrats invented.To me there can be no more terrible act of disrespect for those that survived and those that didn’t.The word “hoax” has to leave this conversation. These were children. Let’s demand some justice for them.Maybe it’s just Republicans and MAGA are protecting both themselves, their political donors and their friends.If that’s not the case, then fine. Prove it. Arrest some of the people who were out on the billionaire island raping little girls. Start with one. Then go after another.Why is so much of the United States of America okay with the idea of child trafficking and child rape? Child abuse will never make a nation great.Why are so many people out there with their heads in the sand? Don’t they realize that if we don’t stop the predators, your own children will get grabbed?It’s not a matter of “if” it’s a matter of “when.”In the lead up to the 2020 election, I had many conversations with my MAGA cousin. He was one of those guys who drove around in a pickup truck, wore cowboy boots, and spent every weekend polishing his AK-47.“Don’t worry,” he said, “if the government ever becomes tyrannical, I’ll gather up your family and protect y’all.”He claimed he’d protect us, but he couldn’t even be bothered to vote for us.I think it’s time for every person in the United States with a decent heart to come to the realization that people like my cousin actually delight in the idea of tormenting children.We didn’t want to believe it, but their actions suggest that’s true.I mean, what other conclusion can I come to?He met my wife, he met my daughters, we got together to play ultimate frisbee during the pandemic. He complimented them on how smart and kind they were. Then he turned around and voted for a maniac who promised to deport them and everyone who looked like them, without due process.That’s not an act of love, it’s an act of violence.How am I supposed to think about this? Am I supposed to see past the evidence of my own eyes and perceive some sort of beauty in his heart? Why doesn’t he stand up to child rapists? Why wasn’t that a deal breaker for him?As it stands right now, I don’t even want my children in the same room as Republicans. I don’t trust them around kids. Their attitude shows that something is amiss.We need to stop allowing them to get the narrative all in a twist.This happened folks!Children went missing. Some have come forth to testify. No decent person would ever make the claim that they are aren’t telling the truth while also denying their proof.The evidence is out there. The survivors know what happened, and the truth is also in the files. Everyone in our country has to look in their heart and decide: will you stand with your family, or will you stand with the pedophiles?You can ask why Biden didn’t release the evidence all you want. Frankly, I want to know that answer too. To me, what that shows is how corrupt our government is at every level.But let’s keep our focus on the now. It’s our job to protect children. Do you want to be a force of decency or a stooge? Until the powerful people who committed these crimes are arrested, we are all complicit too.So call up your representatives. Demand that they sign for the release of the files. Then demand action is taken. Then, keep acting on behalf of decency until all the children of the world are protected.Isn’t that the image of yourself that you carry around in your head? Why not take the action that would make that image a reality instead?People claim that our nation is divided. It is. But fewer people look to see how the nation is divided by their own actions.I haven’t talked to my cousin since 2020. If he wants to come back into my life, he can start by becoming an activist to make sure children are treated right.If you’ve lost contact with your sons or daughters or nephews or nieces or husband or wife, you can do the same thing too. Become an unapologetic champion of innocence and truth.Don’t just say you are against child rape. Show it. Call, protest, demonstrate, and demand accountability. Leave denial behind. Pull your head from the sand.Maybe a divided nation can reunite over the common cause of protecting our children.Can it? What cause is more worthy than this?You all make this newsletter happen!
