Republicans lose control of House of Representatives

SAfm — US president Donald Trump's Republican party has lost control of the House of Representatives during the mid-term elections. This was a first win for the Democracts in eight years and will make it difficult for Trump to push his programme through Congress. The much anticipated polls, seen as an indicator of what is to come in the next elections, took place yesterday. Leader of the Democrats in the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi, has thanked supporters saying tomorrow will be a new day in America. Meanwhile the party's Jacky Rosen who has secured the Senate seat in Nevada says women are taking their country back.
