Republicans Rally in Dallas | US News

The GOP is staging its first-ever midterm convention in Dallas, headlined by Donald Trump — who’ll kick off Wednesday and close Thursday — alongside JD Vance, as they rally voters energized by his 2024 win but wary of post-election momentum. Over 100 speakers, including Ken Paxton, Tim Scott, Ted Cruz, and Mike Johnson, will hammer key issues like border security, taxes, and trade to boost candidates in pivotal races. Democrats aren’t idle: House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries leads a counter-event in the same city, turning Dallas into a battleground for messaging before November’s elections — a bold move that breaks tradition and signals a new kind of political theater.
