EA Review: Repulsion - God's Noose EP [SMD037] Title track “God’s Noose” kicks off the 37th release from Silent Motion’s digital imprint with a dialectical fusion of minimal techniness and aggressive weight. The conversation between seemingly antithetical styles is a compelling negotiation of progression versus pure hedonism. Throughout the release, Repulsion draws and re-draws the line between techno’s (including techy dubstep and etc) elongated tension, and the patent impatience of tearout dubstep. “God’s Noose” introduces the elements that are subject to creative experimentation over the next three tracks: carefully subdued percussions; clean, punchy sub-bass; and the obligatory twisted mid-bass.
