In the summer of 2024, we started Nauja Scena series analysing the changes in the Lithuanian music scene. For the first conversation, we met a producer whose work and philosophy have laid the foundation for many of them. The episode was published on NARA podcast. Today, we are resharing this conversation in a separate Nauja Scena podcast feed. Snorre Bergerud, the founder of YMIR Audio studio in Vilnius, has produced and/or recorded Garbanotas, Monique, jautì, Justinas Jarutis, Junior A, Angelou, Frank Fitts, No Real Pioneers, Crucial Features, Emilija Karosaitė, Džiugas Širvys, Freaks on Floor, Gabrielė Vilkickytė, Vaida Deksnytė and many other Lithuanian bands and artists. The records made in this studio changed both the sound and attitude of modern Lithuanian music. The conversation was recorded in July 2024. See the original publication here.
