In this podcast episode, Associate Professor Dr Alison Ward talks about her background in the arts and how she has combined this with her academic passion for dementia innovation and support. Dr Ward also discusses dementia interventions that she and the team at the University’s Dementia Research and Innovation Centre and their new research about how theatre can be used to enhance the bonds between people with a diagnosis young on-set dementia and their carers. This project has been delivered in collaboration with University of Derby. Dr Ward and the team will present their findings at a Knowledge Café at the Enterprise Centre in Derby on 18 September (9am-4pm) - all are welcome.
