Resentments run deep. Some therapists could even refer to it as a mood. Some describe it as swallowing poison and killing someone else. It’s a dark monster in all of us that leads our behaviors in the wrong direction, away from people we love. What are we truly feeling? Let’s first acknowledge the resentment and sit with it. Where does it go from there? Are we jealous or are we angry? What part are we playing in these feelings? What if we step in the other person’s shoes and explore their perspective?
