Reset: Love God's Family, Part II

On August 31, 2025, Pastor Kevin Slemp continued Berea Baptist Church’s Reset sermon series, walking through the church vision: Love God. Love God’s Family. Live the Mission.This week’s message focused on what it means to truly love God’s family. Looking at Acts 2:41–47, Pastor Kevin explored how the early church lived in deep fellowship—sharing meals, caring for one another’s needs, and building both large and small group connections. He challenged us to consider the importance of investing in relationships through Sunday School classes and home-based Small Groups, reminding us that discipleship and caregiving happen best when we live life together.In a culture that values convenience and independence, God calls us into something greater: community. Pastor Kevin reminded us that we were created not only for relationship with God, but also for relationship with each other. At some point, everyone needs a coach, some cheerleaders, and a team.
