Residents opposed to Limerick data center voice traffic, environmental concerns
from KYW Newsradio Audio On-Demand
What kind of impact would a data center have on traffic? That was the focus of Thursday night's meeting in Limerick, Montgomery County. A company is proposing a 2.8-million-square-foot facility near the Limerick nuclear power plant and the Philadelphia Premium Outlets. Neighbors are worried about the impact it will have on groundwater and electricity prices. They also told NBC10 they think it's going to make traffic a nightmare. An expert witness who spoke at the meeting said the employees shouldn't be a big factor. Township officials told the developers that the data they have provided is insufficient. The developers said the project will generate as much as $20 million in tax revenue. (Photo credit: NBC10)
