Residents rebuke proposal for data center in Plymouth Township

A raucous meeting took place in Montgomery County Thursday night about a proposed data center in Plymouth Township. The 2-million-square-foot project is proposed for the former Cleveland-Cliffs steel mill site on Conshohocken Road. People in the crowd booed and held up signs reading "SHAME" as board members discussed the selection of an expert witness for the developer. Developer Brian O'Neill says many neighbors have been misinformed about the project. He encourages them to think about the economic boom he says the project could bring. According to O'Neill, he has agreed to about 90% of the township's demands and believes many residents have been misinformed about the project.
