Resisting Government

 Ordained minister, Dr. Dennis Hall, addresses a letter circulated by 400 Christian leaders urging resistance to the Trump administration. He explains why the points made in the letter about our government and the trump administration are ridiculous. The freedoms provided by the Democratic processes of America are outlined. He points out that the biblical perspective is that maintaining a secure border is a wise defensive measure to prevent chaos and safeguard innocent lives. Dr. Hall focuses on the behavior of the representatives of the Democratic Party during the President’s recent State of the Union address. When the president asked the body to stand if they agreed that the first duty of the US government is to protect American citizens, not those in the country illegally, all the Democratic representatives refused to stand. The Democratic Party representatives also refused to stand and applaud when the grieving mother of a young woman from Ukraine who escaped the war was slain by a hardened criminal in the US. Dr. Hall points out that there was nothing more symbolic of the Democratic Party’s hostility than the pin that the Democratic Congress woman Rashida Tlaib wore on her blouse that read “FUCK ICE.” The podcast concludes with the instructions from Romans 13 that warns against resisting government.
