In the garden, there was a tithe. While God gave mankind an entire garden to enjoy, one tree was to be set aside. But when greed came in, nothing could restrain man from devouring its fruit. This gave authority to the snake to devour man's inheritance, removing the blessing of God. God wants to bless us, but we must obey a specific instruction to keep the devourer out.
