Responding to Poverty

Christians have a unique responsibility to address global poverty through the power of the Holy Spirit. Six biblical principles guide this calling: demonstrating Jesus' righteousness, receiving eternal rewards, cultivating gratitude through generosity, spreading the gospel, showing obedience to Christ, and literally serving Jesus by serving the least. Unlike government efforts that often fail due to corruption, the church has historically made transformational differences wherever it goes. In our interconnected world, technology gives us unprecedented opportunities to impact lives globally through organizations that work with local churches. When we serve the poor and vulnerable, we're not just doing good works—we're actively serving the risen Jesus and fulfilling our calling as action-driven disciples.
