Before the holidays, Jana felt led to end 2024 with a season of rest; in order to spend time with family, shift focus onto other projects, and to have independent time to study scripture. During the episode, she discloses how she felt guilty at first, but later felt affirmed in this decision after identifying a driving force to produce episodes. Reata explains how she struggled with the idea and concept of resting, and both felt they failed to truly experience rest during their 7 week hiatus from recording. During their conversation, they reveal their experiences and takeaways from their 7 weeks of rest and divulge a list of questions they pondered during this time. Additionally, topics such as setting boundaries, practical tips for eliminating distractions, finding rest, making a home of refuge and identifying sources/things that create restlessness were explored.
