Passage: Mark 6:30-44 Sermon Notes: Intro: 1. Review a. Rest is a Gift b. Rest so that you may Delight 2. Rest creates Opportunities for God to work through you a. Before the Lord can work through you, He has to be with you 1. With you in Rest vs 30-33 a. Before the Lord can work through you, He has to be with you...in your rest i. They were about to be a part of one of the biggest miracle, they needed to be with Jesus in their Rest. b. A short time with Jesus can give you the power to do wonders 2. With you in Truth vs 34-35 a. Before the Lord can work through you, He has to be with you...in truth i. You have to know the truth and live by the truth. ii. This only happens when you spend time with God and let that truth sink into your soul iii. Rest allows for God’s truth to become a living reality and a driving force 3. With you in Power vs 36-44 a. He has to be with you...so that you would recognize His power i. Jesus does one of the biggest miracle ever, enough that they wanted him to be king after ii. But the result was a lot of them, were amazed with Jesus never WITH Jesus. iii. John 6, all of the crowd left him, only the disciples remained and Peter said, “To whom shall we go, you have the word of eternal life.”
