Restoring Sperm Production For Infertile Couples

Vidcast: https://www.instagram.com/p/DW4bJYnGHpz/A targeted mRNA treatment restores sperm production in genetically infertile mice and allows them to father healthy offspring.  This according to molecular biologists at Japan’s Kyoto University.Messenger RNA, injected into the testes of male mice that carry a genetic defect which usually prevents sperm production, remains active for about two days and delivers vital instructions to both sperm-producing cells and support cells. Following this treatment, sperm collected from the mice successfully reverses infertility and produces healthy offspring through in-vitro fertilization.Male factors drive infertility in roughly 40% of the 10% of couples worldwide who struggle to conceive.
