Resurrection: Part 1 – Jesus Our Hope

We can say that Jesus’ resurrection is fact. Not just because we wish it to be true, but because of the multitude of eye-witnesses. The first creed of the early church is found in 1 Corinthians 15:3-8 and in it is the fact of Jesus death, burial and resurrection. Added to these events of the first Easter weekend is the list of all those who saw Jesus again, at least 550 people! Why is the resurrection so important? Because as Paul tells us, “And if Christ has not been raised, then all our preaching is useless, and your faith is useless.” (1 Cor 15:14) Paul says further, “It is this Good News that saves you if you continue to believe the message I told you…” (1 Cor 15:2) Hallelujah! Christ lives and our hope lives!
