Summary

Jesus death and resurrection is the central fact of human history. The cross and the empty tomb are the twin events that form the foundation of the church. Apart from these two events, there is absolutely no church. Jesus resurrection is totally unique in that Jesus became human. He lived a perfect life, suffered in our place, and he literally died for his people and then was raised to life and now rules and reigns over his church forever.
