You and I exist. "Obviously". But importantly, you and I exist as physical selves. We are spiritually and physically intertwined beings, and the Bible clearly teaches that God designed us this way, and intends to keep it that way. His plan of redemption doesn't end with the 'throwing out' of our physical self, in favor of a floating phantasm. Jesus himself is the most concrete evidence of this. Upon his resurrection, he demonstrated his physical reality by eating, and being tactilely verified by his friends. Ezekiel's prophecy is one of the Old Testament's first indications that God intends bodily resurrection - as well as renewal through putting his Spirit into human beings.
