Resurrection Sunday Today is Resurrection Sunday, one of the most important events on the Christian calendar. We commemorate the sacrificial death and burial of our Lord Jesus Christ, and we celebrate His resurrection. He paid the price for our sins by dying on the cross 2000 years ago, and He rose again from the dead. Resurrection Sunday coincides with the Jewish Passover festival when the Passover lamb was slaughtered. Jesus Christ is our Passover Lamb.
