Resurrection - The Risen King - 1 Corinthians 15:20-21 - Mark Roberts 6pm

from Wollongong Baptist Church · host Wollongong Baptist Church

The Risen King C.S. Lewis once wrote, “If I find in myself a desire which no experience in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that I was made for another world.” Every human heart longs for meaning and purpose in the present, a sure hope of a better future, and the promise of love that lasts. Whilst those things often seem distant and unattainable, the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead is like a bright beam of sunlight which pierces through the cloudy sky of our lives, and shows us that the life we all so deeply desire is actually possible. This Easter Sunday we’ll consider how the news of the empty tomb is actually an invitation to come and experience this new life.
