Rethinking: Romans 8 and Creation pt 1
from The Kingdom Project Podcast · host Marcuss Hall
This is obviously an eschatological text but is it future to us or was it future to the original audience? That's what Marcuss explores in this episode. Was the earth actually cursed or was it, man? Is creation in Romans 8 the world then or another creation? Since we know creation and creature can refer to other things such as the creation of Israel and the Old Covenant can this then be what Paul is referring to? If so, what does it mean for the revealing of the children/sons of God? Because who needs the revealing of the sons of God if this is referring to a future last day? Could it be the faithful remnant of Old Covenant children who have trusted in Christ transitioning from the Old to the New? Could it be we have misunderstood this by not considering its original audience and general context?
