Rethinking Suppression: GnRH Antagonists and Contemporary Endometriosis Management
from CME Outfitters Medical Education · host CME Outfitters Medical Education
Endometriosis is a chronic inflammatory condition that remains underrecognized and undertreated, leaving many individuals of reproductive age with daily pain and disruption. Patients often face preference‑sensitive decisions about pain management, contraception, and fertility without clear guidance, frequently after years‑long diagnostic delays. Although gonadotropin‑releasing hormone (GnRH) antagonists and other contemporary therapies have expanded options for endometriosis‑associated pain, many clinicians remain anchored to NSAIDs and combined hormonal contraceptives, leading to suboptimal selection and sequencing of non‑surgical treatments. Community clinicians, particularly in underserved settings, face additional challenges due to limited resources and specialty support. By equipping clinicians with cutting-edge education, we can modernize and optimize treatment for a patient population that has waited far too long for compassionate care.In this CME Outfitters Snack, expert faculty will demonstrate evidence‑based use of GnRH antagonists within non‑surgical management, including patient selection, dosing, monitoring, and positioning. Faculty will model how to individualize therapy by integrating patient goals, clinical characteristics, and current evidence into tailored medical plans that strengthen therapeutic sequencing and shared decision‑making.Learn More Here
