Retired WHDH reporter Byron Barnett has died, family says

Byron Barnett, a respected WHDH-TV reporter with a 38-year career, passed away at age 69 after battling cancer.Barnett covered major national and local events, including presidential campaigns since 1984, the Oklahoma City bombing, and the Space Shuttle Challenger disaster.He was well-regarded in the Boston community, hosted the show “Urban Update,” and was inducted into the Massachusetts Broadcasters Hall of Fame in 2017.https://tsbrenterprises.org/former-whdh-reporter-byron-barnett-dies/
