Welcome back to The Retro Blood as we start off our 3rd annual Holiday Horror review month in the 1980’s. Up first, if you like peep shows, drunk Santas and daddy issues this is the review for you because Retro Blood is talking all about “Don’t open till Christmas”. Join James Kline and J. A Alison as we bring out the wallet for the peep show and try not to get stab in the neck. We start off with James quick thoughts on the film and why he loved it. Then we get into our weekly History Segment where we talk about what was going on in Pro Wrestling and Metal around the movie release date December 19, 1984. In Pro Wrestling we talk about the JCP show on Christmas headlined by a Bunkhouse match. In Metal we talk about the band Autograph and their single “Turn up the radio”.  Alison explains why he loves this song. We talked about what Holiday style beer we are drinking on the show.  Then we get into Who book this Shit!! We talked about the director and star Edmund Purdon leaving the movie and coming back at the very end. We talk the two writers Derek Ford and Alan Birkinshaw and what happened to them. We talk reshoots and the mess that was this film be hide the scenes. We talk the character Doc Bridle and his scenes being cut out. We talk the actor who played Giles “Alan Lake” and the story on his death. Then we get into the full review with Katae and her detective skills. We talk drunk Santa all around London and how wild London was in the 80’s. We talk Sharon and her skills on the camera and of course Giles and his weird chacter actually being the main villain.
