Reuters Impact: 'Waiting for perfection is not going to solve the existential crisis around climate change' - Warren East, Rolls Royce CEO

from Climate Conversations · host Robert McLean

Rolls Royce CEO Warren East (pictured) says we can't wait for perfection to solve the existential crisis that is climate change. Mr East, who is about to resign from the English company, and who has guided it since about 2015 through rather turbulent times, was one of the many speakers on day two of the two day event, Reuters Impact. His opinion changed dramatically when he realised the machines his company produced today, would still be in the air in 2050 and the his children or grandchildren would not be wanting to fly on something that was wrecking the planet.
