Revelation 5:8-14 - Part 2: "The Lamb"

We are continuing our study in the book of Revelation.  This morning we are continuing our study in chapter five of Revelation.One of the most breathtaking passages on the second coming is found in Revelation chapter 5. Who is worthy to open the book and loose the seals?  The Lamb is worthy!  The Lamb has conquered.  The Lamb has been slain as a sacrifice for our sin.  The Lamb is Alive! The Lamb has All-Power and Understanding.  The Lamb is Jesus!  He is worthy to take the scroll and begin opening the seals.  Here we meet the conqueror of the world as He is about to come to take over the universe, to redeem it, to destroy the wicked, and to establish and bless His people.Before Jesus breaks the seals and begins to unfold the judgments, we see the twenty-four elders holding harps and golden bowls, the angels, the four living creatures, the raptured church, and prayers of the saints.  A new song is sung... "Worthy is the Lamb..."  In general, chapter 4 and 5 of Revelation anticipate the tribulation that breaks forth in chapter 6. Chapter 6 to 19 is the record of the exploding judgment of God in the world which ultimately culminate in the return of Christ described in chapter 19.
