Revelation Lesson 2: How to Rightly Interpret Revelation - Part I

from The Caldwell Commentaries Podcast · host Caldwell Commentaries

Anyone who does not understand the Book of Revelation has only half the story of Jesus Christ given in the New Testament.  We do not see Christ in Human humiliation in Revelation; we see Him in His resplendent glory!  We see Him in His salvation glory, His judgment glory, His heavenly glory, and His Kingdom glory.  The day is soon approaching when He will return with all His glory unveiled.  The purpose for this final book of Scripture is found in Revelation 1:1a, "The Revelation of Jesus Christ which God gave unto Him, to shew unto His servants things which must shortly  [the Greek word means `suddenly'] come to pass".  Have you ever wanted to know the proper way to interpret eschatology (the study of end-times' events)?  Have you wanted to know the difference between the various "schools of interpretation" and why so many "church" people do not bother much with studying Revelation?  Do you know the difference between an "amillennialist," a premillennialist," and a "post-millennialist," and which one you are - and why?  You should know, you know!  Listen and learn; then properly decide, but whatever you do, don't put Revelation aside!
