Revelation Lesson 37: The Angry Red Dragon

In Revelation chapter 12, we are introduced to three of the five main "characters" of the book (some are individuals, some are groups of individuals).  They are: the woman clothed with the sun, (2) the male Child she delivers, and (3) the great red dragon.   Who does the woman clothed with the sun represent?  The Church?  Mary?  Israel?  We present the Biblical reasons for the correct answer, Israel.  We discuss Satan's (the great red dragon) "war with the woman" from the beginning to its end.  We look at Satan's second fall, following his war with Michael (12:7-12a), when he will no longer have access to the Third Heaven and no longer be either the accuser of the brethren or the prince of the power of the air.  He and his demonic forces will be confined to earth, and it will be a time of unprecedented terror and his renewed war with "the woman" (Israel). Also discussed in this lesson is Ezekiel's prophecy regarding the War of Gog and Magog - and when that attack of Russia, Iran, and her allies against Israel will take place (before the Rapture?  After the Rapture, but before the Tribulation begins?  During the Tribulation?).
